Holding a degree from the esteemed Wharton School of Business, Austin has further honed his expertise through executive programs at prestigious institutions like Columbia Business School and Harvard Business School. This well-rounded education, combined with his extensive industry experience, positions him as a visionary thinker capable of envisioning and creating a future powered by cutting-edge technologies and human-centered design.

Prior to joining Neuron Digital, Austin served as the Chief Digital Officer at CLP Holdings, where he spearheaded the company’s transformation towards a sustainable, low-carbon future. His career is further marked by groundbreaking achievements, such as launching Australia’s first 3G network and developing digital ecosystems for major corporations like SingTel Optus and American Express.

Benson Tam
Benson is a remarkably well-rounded and accomplished leader, blending his expertise as a civil engineer, software engineer, and financial engineer to drive groundbreaking innovations and strategic investments in the field of smart city technologies. As the Founder and CEO of Venturous Group, a pioneering conglomerate established in 2019, Benson steers the company’s unwavering focus on creating and investing in transformative solutions aimed at making cities more livable, sustainable, and productive.

Venturous Group, the parent company of Neuron Digital, Benson’s flagship venture, operates across key verticals such as smart buildings, smart energy, and smart computing – all integral components of the smart city ecosystem.

With a robust career spanning over 30 years in private equity across Asia, Benson has been pivotal in the growth of numerous “Super-Unicorns” such as Alibaba, AsiaInfo, and WuXi AppTec. Prior to founding Venturous Group, he served as a Partner at Fidelity Growth Partners Asia and held significant roles at Electra Partners and Hellman & Friedman, further honing his expertise in venture capital, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and strategic business development, with a particular focus on China.

Benson’s academic credentials are equally impressive, holding a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Oxford and a BEng in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London.

Peter Wong
Peter Wong holds the positions of Operations Director and Director of Climate and Sustainability for Arup’s East Asia Region, as well as serving as a Director at Neuron Operations Limited. With 25 years of dedicated service at Arup, he manages business unit operations and leads a specialised team in low carbon advisory and sustainable design. Prior to this, Peter served as the East Asia Legal Director.

As a civil engineer by profession, he has a wealth of experience in overseeing the procurement and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, mainland China, and the Philippines. His background in civil engineering and sustainability is complemented by a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Monash University.

In his dual roles at Arup and Neuron, Peter drives forward initiatives that enhance climate resilience and sustainability, positioning both organisations as leaders in sustainable infrastructure. His commitment to sustainability and innovative thinking have been pivotal in furthering the objectives of Arup and Neuron, paving the way for a sustainable future.

Thomas Pang
Thomas Pang, the interim Chief Executive Officer of Neuron and Venturous Group, brings over 3 decades of extensive experience to the helm. With an impressive background spanning finance, corporate management, strategic business development, capital markets, real estate, and TMT, he has been the driving force behind Neuron’s ascent as a pioneer in digital technology and urban innovation. Prior to his current dual leadership roles, Thomas’s professional journey has been marked by a string of high-profile executive positions. He has excelled as the Chief Operating Officer at HGC Global Communications and the Chief Investment Officer at Hsin Chong Construction Group Limited. Thomas’s career origins trace back to his time as a management consultant and auditor at KPMG, followed by pivotal roles as a capital markets regulator.

In his capacity as CFO of Venturous Group, Thomas oversees the company’s finances, deal structuring, and provides strategic counsel to the CEO. Concurrently, he serves as the acting CEO of Neuron Digital Group, spearheading the development of transformative smart city solutions. Thomas’s global experience extends across major cities.

Academically, Thomas holds an MA from the University of Oxford and an MPhil from SISSA in Italy. He is a qualified UK Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant with HKICPA, further cementing his credentials as a prominent business leader.

Mark Chen
As the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Neuron Digital Platform, Mark Chen has been at the forefront of smart building innovation since the company’s incubation at Arup. With over 15 years of experience as a Chartered Engineer and ICT professional, Mark’s vision is to empower the next generation of smart building operating systems through AI and digital technologies.

Mark’s deep expertise spans technology advisory and project management for smart buildings and digital transformation initiatives across East Asia. From 2017 to 2022, he led digital technology consulting at Arup, driving cutting-edge projects and strategic growth for the firm.

Prior to Neuron, Mark held roles as ICT & ELV Leader at Aurecon and various consulting positions at Arup in both Hong Kong and London. He holds an MPhil in Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where his research focused on wireless sensor network protocols.

As Neuron’s CTO, Mark’s technical leadership and pioneering spirit have been quintessential in shaping the company’s innovative smart building solutions. His unwavering commitment to advancing digital transformation is poised to redefine the future of smart buildings.

Serena Pau
As the Chief Commercial Officer at Neuron Digital, Serena Pau leads the company’s efforts to revolutionize the built environment through its innovative Neuroncloud.ai platform and services. Serena brings to Neuron a keen entrepreneurial acumen and a relentless focus on finding the perfect product-market fit for technology startups.

Serena’s journey flourished with founding Ozmo.io, an IoT wellness startup. She then joined CLP Innovation, a major utility in Hong Kong, where she built the Smart Energy Connect initiative from a team of 5 to over 60 people in just 5 years, blending smart energy solutions with cutting-edge digital technology.

Now at Neuron Digital, Serena leverages her uncanny product instincts and business acumen to drive the company’s commercial strategy and growth. Her expertise has been widely recognized, including features in Forbes and speaking engagements at prestigious events like the Economist Innovation Summit.

Serena’s ability to identify emerging market opportunities and successfully scale tech ventures has been pivotal in positioning Neuron Digital as a trailblazer in smart building solutions. As the CCO, she continues to shape the future of the built environment through the power of innovative digital technologies.

David Chiu
As the Finance Director at Venturous Group, Neuron, David Chiu plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategies and investment reporting. With over a decade of expertise in fund accounting, finance, venture capital, and private equity, David’s guidance is invaluable in supporting Neuron’s internal decision-making and external reporting processes.

Prior to joining Neuron in April 2019, David served as Finance Manager at Eight Roads Ventures (formerly Fidelity Asia Ventures) for over seven years, where he honed his skills in navigating the dynamic world of venture capital. He also held positions as a Senior Analyst at Citibank Private Equity and Senior Fund Accountant at HSBC Fund Services, further expanding his financial acumen.

David is a Certified Public Accountant (HKICPA) and holds a BBA (Hons) in Accountancy and Management Information System from the City University of Hong Kong. His deep understanding of financial operations and keen analytical prowess have been instrumental in optimizing Neuron’s financial processes and supporting the company’s strategic growth initiatives.

As the Finance Director, David’s expertise and strategic vision are crucial in ensuring Neuron’s financial stability and investment readiness, enabling the company to continue pioneering innovative smart building solutions that transform the built environment.

Alex Han

Alex’s diverse career has been nothing short of remarkable. Ken Liao
Ken Liao serves as the VP of Technology at Neuron Digital, bringing over 20 years of leadership experience in the tech industry. His career commenced at Shenzhen Skybility Software Co., Ltd., where he dedicated 14 years to refining his expertise as VP of Technology, establishing a solid grounding in software and technology development.

Ken’s journey continued as the Director of Operations at Shenzhen Wisdom Science and Technology Co., Ltd., followed by a role as Director at Sinocom Solutions Limited, where he further broadened his skillsets. Moreover, his work as a Consultant at Arup provided him with valuable insights into integrating technology with large-scale engineering projects.

With a rich background in leading technology teams and managing intricate projects, Ken is well-equipped to drive innovation and strategic growth at Neuron Digital. His career reflects a unique combination of technical acumen and strategic vision, essential for advancing the company’s technological initiatives.
